亚瑟的祖父四年前就失踪了。他唯一留下的就是一本写满故事的笔记本，从中可以了解到非洲的部落，包括迷你墨王国，他们是不足一英寸高的微型小人。但是迷你墨王国似乎不是真实的——他们真的存在吗？就在亚瑟决定出发去寻找之际，他得到一个奇怪的秘密指示，先坐上一艘自己曾经幻想过的飞机弹射器里面，在三天时间之内，他必须找到降落在迷你墨王国的地点，找回被盗的财宝，与外敌入侵的蚊子作战——骑马战士打败一个邪恶的巫师，赢得一个完全自由而独立的公主的芳心——然后又悄然回到自己的家中。
这一切似乎是不可能的任务，但是他将一直孤军奋战，有的时候小英雄往往能成就大事业……
亚瑟、赛琳娜、倍塔枚许穿过七大洲，他们来到了禁忌城奈克罗鲍利，这里由恶魔玛塔扎德统治的城市。为了找到珠宝，他们必须进入恶魔的宫殿，但是，恶魔千方百计不让亚瑟一行人达到目的。亚瑟他们处于危险之中，而且时间很紧迫，还有一到两天，就将不再有花园，不再有房子，也不再有迷你墨人了……恶瑟是否能及时找到他外公呢？他是否能赢得赛琳娜的心呢？他们一起冒着生命危险去救迷你墨王国是否能成功呢？最重要的，他们是否最终挫败了达维多的阴谋，使得外婆的美丽房子没有落入他人之手呢？
